Hello everyone!
After a busy start to the year (and a whole lot of pollen), things are finally starting to feel like spring here in Jacksonville. It’s the perfect time to freshen things up inside and out.
Don't forget to change your AC filter!
Yard Check-In 🔎
With the drier weather and current watering restrictions, lawns are under extra stress right now. If you notice any areas that aren’t looking their best, like thinning grass, discoloration, or spots that seem to be struggling, be sure to let us know ASAP. Catching it early gives us more flexibility to step in and keep everything on track before it becomes harder to bounce back.
Spring Refresh 🍃
If you’re doing a little outdoor cleanup, a few small things can make a big difference:
Clear away leaves and debris so grass isn’t smothered
Rinse off heavy pollen buildup when possible
Water during allowed times (early morning is best)
Keep an eye on high-shade areas, which may need a little extra attention
Avoid heavy traffic on spots that look stressed
Local Trails 🥾
It’s a great time of year to get outside and enjoy some of the local trails near us. There are several spots nearby that are perfect for a nice, relaxing nature walk — just don't forget the bug spray!
Julington-Durbin Creek Preserve – One of the most popular trail systems in the area, with shaded paths, creek views, and multiple loop options
Alpine Groves Park – Short walking trails with boardwalk sections, river views, and open green space
Walter Jones Historical Park – Quiet, shaded paths under large oak trees with peaceful riverfront boardwalks
Gourd Island Conservation Area – Flat, easy nature trail with wetlands and birdwatching opportunities
Trout Creek Park – Small, tucked-away boardwalk trail along the water, ideal for a quick nature break
Guana River Wildlife Management Area – A larger natural preserve with coastal marsh views, hiking trails, and excellent wildlife spotting opportunities
Until Next Time ☀️
Whether you’re tackling a small outdoor project or enjoying a weekend at the beach, we hope you’re settling into the season. As always, if you ever need assistance with maintenance or have any questions about your home, please don’t hesitate to reach out. -Hannahs Home Team
Notes

1
Preheat oven to 425°F and place your rack in lower third position.

2
Scrub and cut potatoes into 1-in thick wedges.

3
Whisk together lemon zest and juice, broth, oil, oregano, garlic, salt, and pepper in a small bowl until combined.

4
Line a large rimmed baking sheet with foil, then place potatoes in an even layer, and toss with lemon mixture until evenly coated. Be sure to give each wedge plenty of room if you want them to crisp up — no overlapping.

5
Roast in oven until potatoes are just tender and liquid is mostly absorbed, approx. 40 minutes. Stir potatoes and continue cooking until potatoes are browned and slightly crisp, about 15 minutes more. Season with salt to taste and garnish with parsley.
Instructions
1 tsp. grated lemon zest plus 1/3 cup fresh juice (from 3 large lemons)
1/3 cup chicken broth
1/4 cup olive oil

1 Tbsp. grated garlic (from about 5 medium cloves)
1 1/2 tsp. kosher salt
1/2 tsp. black pepper
2 1/2 lb. Yukon gold potatoes (about 8 medium)
Chopped fresh parsley
